Located on the Comber Road just outside Dundonald, the Billy Neil Centre of Excellence is managed by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council who contracted us to carry out several improvements to the site.

The contract comprised of multiple elements including general site clearance, drainage, excavation and placement of stone, timber edge board installation and laying of a golden self- binding gravel surface.

Drainage works included an upgrade to upper level pitches including laying of land drains, manhole and headwall outlet construction.

A 1000m long x 2.5m path was constructed round the outside of the playing pitches joining up with the Comber Greenway. Excavation of existing material and placement of stone sub base was followed by timber edge board installation.  Wooden pegs were driven in and wooden boards were screwed to them with to form a path edge.  A self-binding golden gravel surface was laid between the boards as a decorative yet functional wearing course.

Landscaping works were also carried out throughout the site as well as the creation of feature planting areas at various locations.
