It's #WorldEnvironmentDay! and we are celebrating the many Environmental Improvement projects that we have had the pleasure of delivering many fantastic environmental projects. One was for client, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council undertaking the construction and extension of Ballyclare Greenway.
"The Ballyclare Greenway offers pupils from the local schools a safe route to cycle and walk to and from school. It will make a huge difference to the daily lives of the local people, allowing them to walk or cycle and get around the town much easier." Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
The Council secured funding from Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Environmental Fund to complete various sections of the Greenway.
Campbell Civils were delighted to complete the installation of 1400m of bitmac pathways 3 metres in width, linking numerous pathways from the old railway line past Six Mile Leisure Centre, through Six Mile Water Park to Avondale Drive enabling a safer route for walkers and cyclists.
