Mid & East Antrim Borough Council commissioned the contract to extend the existing Council owned cemetery on Victoria Road, Carrickfergus. Works included the provision of eleven new headstone plinths, the creation of twelve pathways to provide access to the cemetery plots and drainage below ground. Further works included alteration of kerb lines and site landscaping.
Given the sensitive nature of the site and the fact that the cemetery was kept fully operational, we as Principal Contractor ensured that ongoing work was carried out in a respectful manner and liaised with Council staff to ensure those visiting the cemetery were accommodated in a quiet and dignified way.
