We were delighted to once again support Principal Contractor Ganson UK in the construction of a new £7 million flagship Lidl store in South Belfast.
Located in the Boucher Road retail area, the state-of-the-art ‘concept’ store adds an extra 40 permanent jobs to its regional 1,300-strong workforce.
Positioned on derelict land at Windsor Way to the left of Olympia Leisure Centre, the refurbished site includes an adjacent 148-space customer car park, complete with EV charging stations, redeveloping land in front of Olympia’s football pitches.
Principal Contractor Ganson UK commissioned Campbell Civils to carry out drainage works along the Boucher Road, widening of existing entrance and surfacing to Windsor way whilst maintaining access. Our works were completed in time for the store opening in September.
This is the second Lidl store that we have worked with Ganson UK on, having completed road-realignment works to the new Lidl store located on Montgomery Rd, Belfast in 2022.
