Located close to the centre of the County Monaghan town of Castleblayney, Lough Muckno is the largest of Monaghan’s lakes and provides an excellent leisure and recreation resource to the local and visiting community. Monaghan County Council contracted us to carry out several improvements to the site.

The contract comprised of multiple elements including general site clearance, drainage, excavation and construction of a new access laneway to provide a range of angling points at the South Lodge.

Works also included site development works, including vegetation clearance, tree felling, fencing including construction of a kissing gate and vehicular barrier, building a natural stone wall over an existing culvert, the erection of fishing pegs along the south edge of the Lough and landscaping works.

The project was successfully completed on time and within budget and the venue is now regularly used for international angling competitions.

We are currently delivering a range of projects for public and private sector clients throughout Ireland. If you have a project that you would like to discuss please get in touch…enquiries@campbellcivils.com
